bluum was founded in early summer, 2011 –our response to the reality that researching, selecting and purchasing products for babies and toddlers had become an overwhelming task in our modern world full of too many choices and too much information – especially for new parents who aren’t quite sure what they’re doing in the first place! In the very beginning, we sent a monthly box with four sample-size versions of mom & baby products for recipients to try. While that idea was wildly successful, we listened to feedback carefully and ultimately realized that bluum needed to “grow up”. At the beginning of 2013, bluum boxes got a makeover and since then, have included full-size products, hand-picked for each child's age, gender and developmental stage. We are extremely proud of our team of expert m.o.m.s (managers of merchandising, and also real-life moms!) who spend their days trying new products, finding and getting to know brands. It's their mission to evaluate whether a brand or product is a good fit for inclusion in our boxes. Our team’s standards are high; we only include responsibly-sourced, often organic products, always free of dangerous chemicals. Our highest priority is to provide high-quality products that are safe and healthy for baby and mom. A lot has changed since the early days when we packaged boxes in our New York City office. We currently work with more than 350 brands and have featured over 1,000 different products in our monthly boxes. We work hard to ensure your child’s monthly box fits his or her child's age, gender and developmental stage, as well as your lifestyle choices and the important milestones your little one has achieved. Each box is curated for you and packed by hand at our fulfillment center in Connecticut. As we continue to evolve and change to meet your needs as a consumer, our mission remains the same, to help parents and little ones enjoy the early years by making life with young kids easier, more convenient, and more fun!
