In 1951, a young woman and mom-to-be sat down at her kitchen table equipped only with a dream and 24-karat gold monogram lettering, handbags, and belts purchased from her father's leather goods company. That woman was Lillian Vernon, the namesake for our company. Many successful years later, her legacy continues.
Lillian Vernon founded the Lillian Vernon Corporation. When it went public in 1987, it was the first company traded on the American Stock Exchange founded by a woman. Her entire life, both personally and professionally, was marked by tenacity and drive. As a businesswoman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, she brought inventiveness and marketing moxie to everything she did, impacting many lives. Ms. Vernon passed away December 14, 2015 in Manhattan, NY.
Today we continually strive to make your dreams more memorable with our expansive offering of unique and notable gifts. We celebrate everyday life and our products reflect that. Let us help you personalize your special events and occasions with Lillian's best!
